Tony + Rosany = Happy Ending

While I started with Tony and Rosany a bit late in the game they turned out to be one of my favorite couples! Their Marco Island Beach Resort Wedding in Marco Island, FL was beautiful, beachy and elegant.Special touches such as a flip-flop station, kid's entertainment, much needed sandalwood fans for the hot beach weather, a fabulous greet drink and a yellow and chocolate brown theme made for an outstanding event. They had both a band a DJ to make sure they heard every element at their reception. Steel drums cascaded them down the aisle. I love when Steel Drums play "Canon in D" -- it makes for the perfect beach wedding. They took off for a fabulous honeymoon in the Greek Isles that I am eternally jealous of....Best Wishes to an amazing couple!

The Morikami is a fabulous venue and if you love pink you will LOVE Heather's wedding. Some of the highlights include the specialty lighting on the Morikami pond, the unbelievable floral centerpieces, and my favorite a candy station with Asian takeout boxes with the couples monogram as a take home. This definitely gave me some sweet memories!

We started off the summer right, in California where the temperature never rose above 70 degrees. The whole crew made the cross country trip for the wedding including our favorite Floral Diva Bruce Goldstein. The Bride, Groom and bridal party were a blast as you can see from the pictures and enjoyed every second of the day. Congratulations to Hillary and Nick, the wedding was amazing!

The 50s Never Looked so Good!

As many of you know, we just completed filming the television show Platinum Weddings for the wedding weekend of Lauren and Kris who were married on 6/7/08 in Aventura, FL. I know many of you are anxious to see the wedding photos for that weekend and I do not have those yet, however I am giving you some teasers from their fabulous fifties diner/I Love Lucy theme rehearsal dinner that took place at the Antique Car Museum in Fort Lauderdale. We were thrilled to see many of the 120 guests dressed up in their best 50's duds for the occassion. We decked out the museum with a classic soda fountain featuring malts, shakes, and floats which was adorned with nostalgic candy including candy cigarettes, buttons, and whirly pops. The tables we dressed in polka dot linens in black and white with bold teal napkins. The amazing floral design was done by our own Bruce Goldstein who used over 2,000 red carnations to make floral spheres that sat on top of tin cans and vintage Campbell's Tomato Soup cans. The guests snacked on passed diner favorites such as grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and mini philly cheesesteak sandwhiches before dining on tv dinners in custom trays with the couples logo that includes truffled meatloaf or turkey with foie gras which added an upscale flair to the entree courses. For dessert the guests dined on apple pie ala mode and a delicious red velvet grooms cake that was shaped like a golf bag celebrating the groom's career as a pro golfer and his sponsorship by Nike. During the night the guests enjoyed a photobooth, Lucy and Ricky impersonators, and old time songs played on an old fashion juke box. It was truly a majical event. We will keep everyone posted on when our episode of Platinum Weddings will air on the WE network and will also post wedding pictures very soon. A special thanks to Destination: Luv, which is a combination of Timco Photographers and Chris Plus Lynn Photography for the wonderful pictures and CA Catering for the amazing food and service which was top notch.

Biltmore Coral Gables Bash!

After working with Hannah and Ross for over a year on their lavish Biltmore Hotel Wedding in Coral Gables, FL, we were so excited that that December 1st was finally here. This fun couple who met in New Orleans really made their wedding personal with some fun Louisiana traditions including "The Second Line" where fight song style music (think a very upbeat jazzy version of the saints go marching in) is played, feather boas are handed out, and the bride leads a conga-line style dance holding a feathered white parasol. To top it off, Hurricanes (a favorite New Orleans Cocktail) were passed out during "The Second Line"in traditional Pat O'brien's glasses. It was definitely one of the most beautiful and fun weddings White Light Events has ever had the pleasure of coordinating. The ceremony was decorated in a massive chuppah covered in white Casablanca lilies, roses, and hydrangea. It was also draped in beautiful white sheer fabric. The ballroom was a vision in neutrals done with a glitzy twist. The florist calls it "Boca Bling" and you can see why. The tables were rotated with 2 different types of centerpieces. Some were trios of giant crystal covered globes with candles and flowers. The others were enormous glass cylinders filled with cymbidium orchids and topped with huge arrangements of gorgeous white flowers. Every details was attended to including gold beaded glass chargers, matching Godiva favors, dinner menus, and fabulous beaded linen overlays. The tented patio was originally used for the cocktail hour and was later transformed with lighting and lounge furniture to a chic and modern after party equipped with a photo booth and a dj spinning house music till 2am.

Amy and Michael's October 2007 wedding pictures and can blog about this awesome couple! Amy and Michael are now residing in Hong Kong and I hear that they are doing great. After a whirlwind romance with a first blind date in Hong Kong, second date in New York, and third date and proposal in France, Amy and Michael chose the beautiful Addison Restaurant in Boca Raton for their amazing wedding. It really reflected their taste of a venue that had not only history and character, but also amazing food. I thought the food was amazing, but the dessert they chose was just to die for!The ceremony was held on the Addison's courtyard and the reception in there brand new ballroom. In fact, I think this was one of the very first weddings in the new ballroom. Here are some of my favorite pictures taken by the very talented Alain from Expert Appeal Photography.Enjoy!

Bonnet House Bliss

Both Keri and Gary are physicians and set a personal tone for the wedding by sending out medicine bottle save the dates filled with personalized m&m's in their tiffany and chocolate wedding colors. The wedding took place at the amazing Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. Guests began the night in a pre-ceremony cocktail hour in the courtyard of the house which adorned delicious hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and an impressive tree which hung little lanterns with place cards attached. The ceremony took place after sunset under an illuminated chuppah over looking the Bonnet House's beautiful lake, lined by impressive palm trees. The guests then entered the waterfront clear top tent for a beautiful night of dinner and dancing. The centerpiece of the night was the fabulous 5 tiered wedding cake that looked like a true piece of art. Special thank you from Melissa Perez from Simply Captivating Productions who took the amazing photos in this entry.
